The Pedal Juice is a rechargeable 9V power supply for effects pedals, multi-effects units, and even portable recording devices. First Impressions Upon opening up the box, everything is crammed in there leaving no room for space. The actual Pedal Juice power supply only takes up about a third of the box, with the rest of the box containing cables, power adapter, and a carrying case. For a 9V rechargeable power supply, you might expect it to be pretty sizable and hefty. Sanyo claims the Pedal Juice only takes 3. Based on how much the pedal was charged out of the box, I was able to charge it the rest of the way in less than 2 hours. As it charged, the LED light would blink once every two seconds and cycle through red and orange indicators. When it was all charged, the LED light went completely out. You can hook up more than two pedals, but you will need to daisy chain them with some extra cables like these not included with the Pedal Juice. The user guide stresses very clearly how important it is to make sure you are not plugging in pedals with an opposite polarity to the Pedal Juice device.

It shows on the picture by the two AC outputs 7 and 8. The pedals in use are as below: You want to set up a loop with the G String as follows: The output will drive your Strymon and Dyna Verb without any truncation of the delay or reverb and the output of these effects will feed the input of your amplifier. And to switch between just distortion to just preamp, do I have to hit two buttons or does turning off distortion automatically engage preamp?
The Distortion channel and a Preamp channel. Both have a full EQ section so you can use the THETA as both your clean channel by using the Preamp section for your clean tone and then use the Distortion channel for your high gain distortion tone. The distortion channel has plenty of gain, which allows you to use the Preamp for your clean tone and the Preamp for your clean channel. You can listen to any of the Ethan Brosh videos on line just do a search for Ethan Brosh , he is using the THETA with just the distort channel for his high gain and says he does not need any more gain by using the preamp as an overdrive.

Stereo Pedals Many delay and chorus pedals, and a few others, come with stereo outputs that enable you to make the most of the wide soundstage that these effects can produce. If you only have one amp you will of course use only the mono output from such effects. Effects chains with multiple pedals might throw up conflicts in connecting order — perhaps you have a stereo chorus or Uni-Vibe-style pedal that you prefer to use before your overdrive, but you also want to make use of the width of the stereo field.
Ideally, you would connect any stereo pedal last in the chain, but in the above scenario you would have to decide either to run the overdrive after only one of the stereo outputs and keep the other output clean, or compromise your tonal ideals and put the overdrive before the stereo effect.

Echo Order Of Effects I’m going to explain and explain each stage in a little more detail and added notes on an effects loop for those with that function available. It’s important to stress again in though that there really are no hard and fast rules and you really ought to just experiment. Every time I get a new pedal I play about with it for quite a while, explore that pedal on its own, and then also play with its position on my board just to see how it’s going to work with other effects.
I would strongly recommend you do the same! Personally, I prefer the Wah before distortion, but it’s personal taste really. Depends a bit on the pedal too – how wide the frequency notch is and what frequency range it covers. The majority of players seem to place the compressor before adding distortion. It changes for me all the time, but I think mostly I prefer it before gain Lots of guys use a compressor this way – the “make it sound better pedal”.
Compressor sometimes sounds good after distortion too, it helps with noise compressors can be noisy and if put before overdrive then the distortion pedal makes the noise louder. Placing the compressor after distortion also increases your sustain depending on the type and amount of distortion used! It can sound darker if placed after as well – so it really is down to your ears and what you think sounds best! But I have mine first in the chain, before Fuzz as I don’t often ever? EQ Can be useful after the distortion pedals to shape the sound, and they can also be used as a boost pedal.
Why not use pedal couplers?
A pedal board is exactly what it sounds like — a board that holds your effect pedals. Effect pedals are electronic devices that do specific enhancements to the sound of the guitar. They are housed in external switch boxes that sit on the floor and are switched on or off by stepping on a small button on the box. The biggest advantage to having a pedal board is having a nice tidy arrangement for your pedals that can be transported to gigs, jams, or even just to the basement.
Pedals require power and cables, and once you get more than three, they become tedious to move around. They also look like a plate of spaghetti.

I, personally, am a bit leery of method. The output of the swell capacitor is a fairly high impedance node. From the back of the organ: Locate the silver box on top of the AO amplifier that houses the Expression control electronics. It is easily identified as an arm connects the expression pedal to the box, and there is an RCA jack located on one side of the box. We’re going to turn this input to a dedicated output. Remove the 4 flathead screws that hold the box cover on. These screws are in the sides of the expression pedal box, not on the bottom.
