Hull Down One of the most important habits to get in the hang of when driving the JagdTiger both the 88 and freemium is to hull down as often as possible. The hull armor on the 88 is better suited to its tier than the freemium’s, but it can still be vulnerable to big guns. It is therefore important to hide that hull and leave only the casemate plate exposed. Use small hills, trenches, ditches, scenery, map objects, wrecked hulls, whatever. Hull down JagTig means red has to go around Distance JagTig feels better fighting the enemy at arms reach rather than face to face. It is simply advisable to keep red a few yards away at the very least. For one, it’ll give that much more distance they have to travel to get around you, meaning you have a chance at traversing in time to catch them. Also, the JagTig can have some very intense stand offs. Remember the point about hulling down above?
Extremely precise gun that easily hits weakspots Outstanding reload time and consequently DPM dpm base Ability to hull down Decent armor for tier 8 Excellent view range Special matchmaking as of 8. Poor Alpha damage can not compete with “peek-a-boo” tactics, and most halfway decent players won’t just sit and let you shoot them repetitively Can easily catch on fire if hit in the lower glacis, an issue of greater concern after the precision of all guns was improved in the 8.
Lower glacis plate is a known weakspot Side armor is weak Large superstructure combined with slow speed make this tank very easy for artillery to hit Specialist flank defender, requires large amounts of team support Inferior speed and traverse than a regular Jagdtiger, despite the lighter gun Having a very armoured superstructure, an accurate gun with high ROF and decent maneuverability, the Jagdtiger 88 is a deadly tank that can easily burn down many of the tanks with extreme DPM.

Fixes to Preferential Matchmaking
Presumably the patch itself will hit just before Christmas. This update has, as its main feature, the introduction of Japanese tanks. Onto the tanks themselves. Well, I will not be trialling them on the live server, but there are essentially two lines.
The 8,8 cm Pak 43 Jagdtiger is a German tier 8 premium tank destroyer. In , the production order for the Jagdtiger was increased, and the supply of compatible guns became insufficient. As a result, approximately 20 vehicles were equipped with the 8,8 cm PaK 43 L/71 gun.
This past May saw us test changes to the KV Had they proven agreeable, they would have been applied to other preferential tanks. As the feedback and testing showed, the reason you take these tanks onto the battlefield or bring them into your Garage in the first place is their preferential status and unique characteristics. In response to your comments, we went back to the drawing board to work on another round of adjustments. Here’s a look at where the current setup is falling short and how the upcoming changes address those areas.
Tanks with preferential status are likely to get matched into two- or one-tier battles, where their status combined with combat parameters does more harm than good. Improve the experience for preferential tanks while keeping the preferential matchmaking parameter and their unique characteristics intact. All-around vehicle rebalances on a tank-by-tank basis combined with matchmaker rule revision. Matchmaker rules revision is designed to better the experience for them, too.
Vehicle Rebalances We’ll kick-off the preferential tank revision by tweaking combat parameters. We originally set these parameters so tanks can play comfortably and competitively in Tier VIII-IX battles, where they are weaker than other machines in combat given their stats.

Jul 08, · Preferential Matchmaking Chart for Premium Vehicles – posted in Current Archive: Lately, Ive noticed a couple of questions regarding matchmaking. In response to these threads/PMs, I took the time to request a preferential match making chart from our dev team, and heres what they provided for the community: Please note that there are some words in Russian.
Jagdtiger Tank Tiger II continuation The biggest drawback with the interleaved and overlapping road wheel arrangements found on various German-track-laying vehicles during World War II was their design complexity and weight. No other country in World War II or in the postwar years adopted a similar system. Despite its weight of almost 70 tons, the Tiger II was powered by the same cylinder, horsepower engine that propelled the ton Panther medium tank, leaving it somewhat underpowered.
This weight strained almost all the powertrain components of the German vehicle, including the steering mechanism and hydraulically operated transmission. The Tiger II had a top speed of 26 miles per hour and a maximum range on good roads of about miles. Cross-country operational range of the Tiger II was less than 50 miles. In spite of their size, weight, and low power, the Tiger tanks were more mobile in many types of terrain than most of the smaller and lighter Allied tanks.
Johnson of the U. Army’s Second Armored Division stated in a wartime report: The wider tracks of the Mark V and the Mark VI enables it to move much better cross-country and in muddy or snow-covered terrain, than the narrow tracks of the Sherman tank. The field expedient of duckbills [track extensions] added to widen the Sherman tread aids, but does not effect the advantage the German Mark V and Mark VI tanks have. Selected Tiger Variants The small number of Tiger tanks built between and resulted in far fewer variants than those based on the chassis of German light and medium tanks.
One of the few Tiger variants was based on German tanks combat experience in Soviet cities and the need for a very large close-range assault weapon. The gun had to be powerful enough to destroy an enemy-held multi-story brick or concrete building with a single round.

Sep 28, · Aschen’s Guide for the Jagdtiger – posted in German Vehicles: Aschenblumes Guide for the Jagdtiger Hello once again! Aschen here with my favorite Tank Destroyer in the game and in my opinion the BEST tank destroyer in the game. The Jagdtiger in a nutshell is a heavily armored-hardhitting-monster, with little regard of mercy for its enemies.
American As you can see, in addition to vehicles that fought, there are quite a few of prototypes, paper projects, and immediate postwar vehicles. Below the main trees are “special tanks” – on the left are premium tanks bought with real money, on the right are ones that you’ll get either with the game box, or at special events. Combat is fairly straightforward – two teams of fifteen tanks each start on opposite sides of a map, about a kilometer square.
Each team starts near a flag; around a flag there is a meter circle. If an enemy tank drives within that circle, they start accumulating capture points – if your flag is captured, you lose; unless you capture the enemy flag within 10 seconds of your own flag being captured, in which case the round is a draw. If the game isn’t over in 15 minutes, it’s also a draw.

The unit had previously fought during Kursk and in Italy with Elefants, but the number of operational Elefants had dropped to the level of just one company. The unit was then assigned to Due to mechanical problems, however, only three Jagdtigers were operational at the start of the offensive. On 9 January , three Jagdtigers of 1.
The tier 8 German premium tank destroyer Jagdtiger cm Pak 43 L/71 is a rock solid tier 8 tank destroyer in terms of armor and firepower. Since the Jagdtiger cm has virtually the same chassis as the tier 9 Jagdtiger it has excellent armor for a tier 8 tank and is able to shrug off an immense amount of damage thrown at the frontal armor.
I will think about it, since so far the votes are all on the Jag 8. JT88 would be the way to go. But if I were you I’d hang off until you see what specials we get for the anniversary, just incase T8 premiums go on special or something crazy happens like the Type returns. Yeah, like last year that the sale the Jag 8. That was my golden opportunity, but instead gone with T But still it’s worth it. AoTenjou, on 23 April – Since it’s the same chassis as the TIX JT, it also has the awesome frontal armor, but that also means you have the massive lower glac without any real good angling.
